As an Ayurvedic health counselor, yoga teacher and lifelong student of holistic health, I like to consider myself a curator of lifestyles - using food, movement, meditation and daily routines to bring you into optimal health and balance.

Addressing the needs of the individual is something very different from the one size fits all approach of the modern wellness culture. Unique bodies require unique treatment. Ayurveda teaches us that the path to healing lies in this fundamental belief.

A Bit About Me

Throughout my life, I’ve followed two paths–the outdoors and holistic health–because they both support reflection and a deeper knowledge of the self.  Whether hiking or practicing yoga we become more aware of the body, notice sensations big and small, and experience a real impact on the mind and soul. We feel lighter, more energized, and in tune with what really matters in life.

This impact has driven my commitment to a lifestyle rooted in the outdoors and holistic health. Both have made it easier to listen to my true self, my intuition, and there’s immense power in that.  Along the way, I’ve led people through transformative experiences as a wilderness mountain guide, outdoor educator, bodyworker and yoga teacher.

My personal journey with the science of Ayurveda began when I recognized that my lifestyle was healthy by societal standards, but my intuition told me something wasn’t right.  I developed adult acne, struggled with digestive issues, inflammation, brain fog, and burnout. After years of overworking to reach the elusive goal of perfection, I decided to try a different approach.

Incorporating Ayurveda into my daily life reframed my perception of health and wellness. Learning how to use this time-tested wisdom to address the needs of the individual is something very different from the one size fits all approach of the modern wellness culture.  Unique bodies require unique treatment. Ayurveda teaches us that the path to healing lies in this fundamental belief.

My aim is to empower others to find a balanced approach to living by making small manageable changes toward enjoyment and ease. Now, the outdoors and holistic health hold even more meaning with the additional context that Ayurveda provides–that nature, the mind, and body are not separate entities but all parts of an integrated whole.
